How one street got to know each other again
It started with a fold-out table, a pot of tea and a handwritten note in every letterbox.

Most people on the street had lived there for years without knowing the names of the people three doors down.
Then one resident put a note in every letterbox: a fold-out table would be on her front lawn on Sunday at 4pm, with tea. Bring a chair if you like.
Six people came the first week. Now it’s a monthly thing, and there’s a group chat for borrowing ladders and checking on the older neighbours when it’s hot.
“It didn’t need a committee. It just needed someone to go first.”
Connection doesn’t always need a grand gesture. A conversation or an invitation can change someone’s day.
